【아인슈타인의 춤】

​불교佛敎는 이 세계의 종교宗敎 뿐만이 아니라 '​우주의 종교宗敎다'.

​​아인슈타인 같은 그런 ​대철학자大哲學者가, 대종교인大宗敎人이, 대과학자大科學者가 그 불교佛敎를 갖다가 공부를 허고서 그 불교를 평評하기를,

"이것은 세계世界의 종교宗敎"라고, "세계의 종교에 국한局限 될 것이 아니라, 우주宇宙의 종교宗敎다."

이렇게 까지 평評을 했다고 그럽니다.

眞理
아인슈타인 (Albert Einstein•1879-1955) : 너무나도 有名한 相対性理論을 완성했다. 特殊相対性理論(1905年）과 一般相対性理論(1915年)으로 第四次元世界의 数学旳 理論. 元来 독일에서 태어났으나 1933年 나치스에 쫓겨 美国으로 亡命하여 그것에 㷌化했다.
또한 바이어린에도 뛰어난 솜씨를 지녔던 不滅의 科学者이다.

The true value of a human being is determined by the measure and the sense in which they have obtained liberation from the self. We shall require a substantially new manner of thinking if humanity is to survive.

인간은 우리가 우주라 부르는 전체의 일부이며 시공간의 일부분이다. 우리는 우리 자신의 생각과 감정을 다른 것과 분리 된 것으로 경험한다.
의식의 광학 망상의 일종인 이 망상은 우리에게 가장 가까운 소수의 사람들에 대한 우리의 개인적인 욕구와 애정에 의해 제한되는 일종의 감옥이다.
우리의 임무는 모든 생명체와 자연의 모든 것을 그 아름다움 속에 받아들이도록 우리의 동그라미를 넓혀 나가는 것으로써 감옥에서 벗어나야한다.
인간의 참된 가치는 자신으로부터 해방을 얻은 척도와 감각에 의해 결정된다.
우리는 만일 인류가 생존한다면 실질적으로 새로운 사고 방식을 요구할 것이다.

전신은 일종의 아주 길고 긴 고양이란다. 내가 뉴욕에서 고양이의 꼬리를 당기면 로스앤젤레스에서 야옹 하고 울겠지. 이해하겠니? 라디오도 똑같은 방식으로 작동한단다. 내가 여기서 신호를 보내면 다른 사람이 저곳에서 그걸 받아요. 전신과 다른 점이라면 고양이가 없다는 것뿐이지.

•The religion of the future will be a cosmic religion. It should transcend personal God and avoid dogma and theology. Covering both the natural and the spiritual, it should be based on a religious sense arising from the experience of all things natural and spiritual as a meaningful unity. Buddhism answers this description. If there is any religion that could cope with modern scientific needs it would be Buddhism.

​미래의 종교는 우주적인 종교가 될 것이다. 그것은 인간적인 하느님을 초월하고, 교리나 신학을 넘어서는 것이어야 한다. 그것은 자연의 세계와 정신적인 세계를 모두 포함하면서, 자연과 정신 모두의 경험에서 나오는 종교적인 감각에 기초를 둔 것이어야 한다. ​불교가 이런 요구를 만족시키는 대답이다. 만일 현대 과학의 요구에 부합하는 종교가 있다면, 그것은 곧 불교가 될 것이다.


•The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing. One cannot help but be in awe when he contemplates the mysteries of eternity, of life, of the marvelous structure of reality. It is enough if one tries merely to comprehend a little of this mystery every day. Never lose a holy curiosity.

가장 중요한 것은 질문을 멈추지 않는 것이다.
호기심은 그 자체만으로도 존재 이유가 있다.
영원성, 생명, 현실의 놀라운 구조를 숙고하는 사람은, 경외감을 느끼게 된다. 매일 이러한 비밀의 실타래를 한 가닥씩 푸는 것으로 족하다. 신성한 호기심을 절대 잃지 말라.

Everything is determined, the beginning as well as the end, forces over which we have no control. 지식과 기술만으로는 인류를 행복하고 품위있는 삶으로 인도할 수 없다는 사실을 잊지 말자. 나는 그 무엇에 대해도 나의 공을 주장하지 않는다. 시초부터 종말까지 모든 것은 우리가 통제할 수 없는 힘에 의해 결정된다.
별, 인간, 식물, 우주의 먼지뿐만 아니라 벌레 등 우리 모두 는 보이지 않는 저 먼 곳의 피리 부는 사람의 곡에 맞추어 춤을 출 뿐이다.
